a guy on my team passed out after our SCUBA physicals, like as soon as he got back into the hallway, and they made him go to the hospital. it was strange. no one wanted to go into sick bay for their physical after that..

We had one guy who, while playing four square, ran into the air conditioning unit on one of the trailer classrooms. The air conditioner was left with a dent, and the trainee spent the night in the infirmary to ensure he didn't have a concussion. Poor lad, we heard his horror stories from that night.

I wonder if the dent is still there?

I'll have to go find a picture. There used to be a trailer beside where robotics is now but it was taken down because it was old and it leaked.

I went in August so they must have taken it down between then and December. I know it was gone by 2002.

Since we were talking about crazy injurys i thought i would jump in with a couple fun stories lol.

When i went to AC in 2001 we were out playing capture the flag and i was sitting on one side of the field due to a sudden stomach ache. Well a boy was running and tripped and fell. I heard this awful cracking noise which i assumed was a branch of some kind. Turned out that it was his arm and he went to the hospital in a big hurry. It was at the craziest angle i have ever seen in my life. It was sad but everybody at AC that week signed a t-shirt for him and i think he got to stay for another day or so with a giant cast.

That same year a boy on my team dislocated his knee in a bad way during e&e. He actually finished the course and walked back to AC with the rest of the team! Now that is dedication lol.

And finally i thought that i would share a little tip for ya'll. Dont ever jump off the netting on the AC obstacle course from about 5 feet up. While you can probably safely make the jump the rock at the bottom will really mess up your foot for a while

wow! thats crazy... at ac xmas camp the only injury that happened was during e&e it started raining REALLY hard.. it felt like forrest gump... but we were crossing that really unstable bridge in the woods and it was slippery and i was the last won over cuz i was dumb enough to be a trail sucurity and the person ahead of me slipped at the end of the brige and fell onto her shoulder.. it was seriously a loud thud and she was all bruised and stuff... its nothing like that bone snappy story though!

um.. i started packing today (i know still have like 9 days left but whatever) and i have a question.. is there a way i can do laundry since im doing 2 weeks of AC and will definitly get muddy with rain forcasted for the entire week before im there.

Haha. Whenever I fly sims, I always get so cocky, because they use the same flight sim engine as all of the flight sims I've ever flown.
