for fathers day i was at the air force academy... i ended up giving him a coffee mug or something lame like that.....

one time i was at camp and a group of asa people sang youve lost that lovin feeling to a counselor ... it was hella funny...

one girl started calling me maverick...........talk about sweet

i wanted my callsign at AC to be maverick but they rufuse to let anyone have top gun names there... then i wanted to be topper harley, but i couldnt think of an icebreaker story to fit that name!

haha maverick's such a cool name........only a few people called me it tho

sam's just easier to say......plus on the first day of camp i went up to EVERYONe i saw and said "hi i'm sam" so that made things difficult

haha but it was ok b/c everyone knew me...i'm a little hyper when i'm at camp
it's just too much fun there........especially when everything is mercury oriented

at AC i never even learned other peoples "real names" because you always call them by their call signs... but it was hard when i did EALD because you get to know people by their names and then have to swich to call signs ... it gets kinda akward... wow i think i spelled akward wrong... oh well

i learned everyone's names first..and then somehow nicknames came out
well except for this one kid whose last name was fish

i ended up calling him fried fish for a day

that was great....haha

my little sister went to space academy and said that they chose call signs for each other... i love nicknames.... my brothers callsign at AC was Fish...

that's cool........i just like going by sam at camp..short and sweet and to the point (plus that's what everyone knows me by down there..why change it if it works)

who knows..maybe i'll be known as grissom some day

if you haven't noticed my fav astronaut is gus grissom

no he's just the man......my fav astronaut

and yeah maybe i did shed a tear the first time i saw the capsule..but that was just because i love the mercury program too much

you could ask my dad what i did when i met the living mercury astronauts......that was hilarious (wicked awesome)

so did u really know anyone by their real name cus last year at mine i think i know the name of one kid from my taem and thats because he was on my team the week before at asa

well... the last week at AC i did we mostly used real names because most of my team was aulstrialian and didnt really understand what the callsigns were for, and they all knew each other from before cause they all went to the same school

i always use real names...it's easier that way (but you could always call them by their nicknames at camp and then get their addresses with their real names...just a thought)
