packing.

Post by meg »

okay, so im sitting here, wondering (yes, i know i still have 17 days till i take off, but you can never start planning too soon.) ...is it ridiculous to bring two rather large suitcases to camp?

those who do the ac/space camp two week deal, what do you do?

im not really bringing THAT much stuff. but i wouldn't want to have one suitcase totally stuffed going to camp and then trying to figure out how i can bring home gift shop stuff...

what to do! what to do! lol...

doesnt seem ridiculous to me.
just remember that youre going to have to drag it from the baggage claim to the van. and in the event that the elevator wasnt working you would have to drag it up 4 flights of stairs. i had to drag my stuff down last year..yea that sucked.

Just make sure you get there extremo-early so that you can claim the big locker... otherwise, you'll have to leave your stuff lying out, I guess.

I usually can survive on one, but I only do the 1-week stuff. The small lockers are still pretty large, and they can fit your standard rolly bag, and then some. Plus, I got there too late this year, anyway.

I have only been to camp for one week at a time, but even for two-week vacations I have managed to only bring one medium sized luggage bag. However, on my way home I usually have two bags. The trick: pack a normal luggage bag with your stuff. Then grab a duffle bag and pack it too. On your way home you can have two bags; one for clothes and one for bringing the Space Store home with you . ;-)

I have accumulated enough uniform clothes to last me a week, and they all fit in my small luggage bag. I will still bring my extra bag though. I know that even if I tell myself I won't buy anything from the Space Store, I will cave in the moment I get there! :D

i left my important stuff in the locker, like expensivestuff. but the majority of my stuff was just lying around the room in various places for the most of the week.

i want to go to the air force academy, and my parents do too, i probably wont get in but whatever... but the only reason i really decided to go there now is that at my tennis camp, the instructors are air force tennis players....more specifically, male air force tennis players....... :D
