School Aerospace Conference

Hey Guys and Girls!

Alright, I decided I wanted to put on an Aerospace Conference at my school. It would be for classes and clubs at schools in TN and surrounding areas that are studying or interested in space and space exploration. I wanted to have some neat exhibits and three guest speakers, at least one astronaut. So far I have two of the hard parts done, 1. Convincing the school. I went to the principal and convinced him that it would be a good thing. Then I tracked down an astranaut speaker (shuttle) and booked him to attend! Is anyone interested in helping me out that lives in TN or somwhere close, or anyone have suggestions for neat things to do at such an event?

PS, it is targeted for school teachers and students but is open to the public and completley free.

Well i have a suggestion for resources that you might beable to use. TN falls under the jurisdiction of the Educator Resource center for NASA Langley Research Center in Virginia. They have alot of resources available for just this type of event, Including lithographs, posters, fact sheets, lesson plans, and videos which can be coppied if you send them a blank tape. I'll include the link to their web page below check it out they have a list of resources on the web page that are available and contact information. We even have videos from every shuttle mission from STS-1 to STS-107 available for vopy you might consider getting a copy of the one they have for your astronauts flight.
