I can't stand any of the people on the team. I watched the last game, but stopped watching it after a while because it was so depressing.

Guess what!?! The team (TB Lightning) is taking a whole bunch of staff members (minus the sales staff) down to Sunrise, FL tommorrow to see the Lightning strike the Panthers. It's going to be 70 drunk guys, the Lightning Girls, and me.

On the same subject, how many of you have watched college hockey. UAH has a really good team, most of which are not Americans ( ), but they are really good. They have consistantly been ranked in the top 3 in the CHA. Everybody thinks its so wierd to have a hockey team in a state that doesn't really get much snow or ice. Oh well check out the league standings at http://www.collegehockeystats.com/0304/standings/cham

or check out UAH's web page at:

Yeah, people are always surprised to find out that USF has a hockey team or that I play on ice. At least it gets cold in Hunstville, heck, it snowed when I was there last.

If anyone wants to see my team stats: http://pointstreak.com/players/players- ... eamid=8862. I'm number three and I actually have three assists, the score keepers are really bad about those.

Two years ago we had a rink in our backyard and we would play hockey on it.

What I'd like to try is pond hockey. I've been reading a lot about it and it sounds fun.

I've done that too. The weather is cold enough now that the ice should be thick enough to go on soon. We are having a snow storm right now.

'e shoots...

Well, my team is playing in a Thanksgiving tournie this weekend. Our first game was earlier today and I scored!!! This was pretty special to me 'cause I'm generally a stay-at-home defenseman (I have to be, my partner thinks he's a superstar) so I don't get many opportunities. It was a beauty.

We had a faceoff in our offensive zone, to the right of the goal from our point of view. I was playing left D, so I was a few feet in from the blue line almost directly back from the goal. The puck went to the left winger, who was pressured, so he shoveled it back to me. I took two strides and let my wristshot rip, right past the goalie and into the top corner. That goal gave us the lead for the first and last time that game. We ended up losing 7-4. I played well, though. Really well.
