They're basically just a less sophisticated version of space camp only it's not residential and not a week long.

I know what they are but i've still always wanted to see one for myself it was a nivce way to continue the challenger legacy.

We used to have one but I'm not completly sure if we still do because teh science centre went under a complete renovation.

Well we have none around here at all but we do have 3 museums that could be considered aerospacce. We have the Virginia Air and Space Center which is the museum where i work its the official visitor center for NASA Langley Research center and for Langley Air Force Base. It has a large collection of aircraft as well as many space artifacts. But its main concentration is on projects of NASA Langley boith air and space wise. from wind tunnels to manned flight and unmanned probes and sattelites. Our new aviation gallery will also include an area on naval and civilian aviation as well as other military aviation we have even put in a DC-9 airliner. Any of you who have flown Delta into Huntsville have flown on a larger version of that plain called the MD-80. The museum also offers educational programs for school children of all ages We also offer camp ins and day camps during the spring summer and winter breaks.

The other main museum we have is Air Power Park. Its mainly aircraft starting in the 1950's till the near present. But it also has missiles including the Jupiter IRBM which was considered for suborbital use in project mercury and one was used to launch Able and Baker oin their flight. It also has one of only 2 Little Joe boosters used to test the escape tower on the mercury capsule its topped with a mercury test capsule. There is also a Mercury boilerplate nearby in the same park.It also has several antiaircraft missiles maoinly variants of the Nike.

And lastly we have the US Army Transportation museum at Fort Eustiswhich is mainly aviation its mostly Army Helicopters but have a few planes as well and Other types of army vehicles used pover the years including landing craft jeeps, trucks and trains.

We just got an IMAX theater. That is how exciting it is here. Everyone goes to see IMAX movies. Obviously we need a space museum as opposed to the science museum that has a bunch of fake trees in it and thats about it.

I want to see the Matrix Reloaded in IMAX. It is cool enough as it is on the big screen....it must be awesome on the REALLY REALLY big screen.

We have two IMAX theatres in town. One in West Edmonton Mall and the other in the science centre.

They are talking about making another IMAX theater somewhere near where I live, but I don't think they will. There is nothing to do around here anyway. What I really want to see in IMAX besides the Matrix is Apollo 13.

Well they aren't going to play it in the IMAX theaters forever, so I need to see it soon if I am going to see it at all. I saw that movie at least 15 times when it first came out on video when I was little, so I would really like to see it in the IMAX theater.

Well i remember when Imax theaters were something soecial to have one near you. Now they are everywhere we have 2 aroundf here alone one is even 3-D

They have IMAX 3-D now? Wow, as if IMAX wasn't cool enough they made IMAX 3-D? What movies do they have?

They just moved the IMAX theatre into one of the local museums, but they don't really have anything. I saw THE Nutcracker in 3-D at the old one.

Well I heard or read somewhere that the 3-D is really cool. I researched it after Jason mentioned it. Did they make any of the space movies into 3-D? That would be totally awesome!

Well i havent personbally been to the 3-D imax theater because itsd about 45 minutes away but ive heard its great. I do know of one space film that was also done in 3-D imax and that was Space Station i dont know if there are any others.

Well I have only heard of the Austrailia movie being done in 3-D. There isn't a 3-D IMAX theater near my house, but I would LOVE to see Space Station in 3-D.
