Pluto

Post by monkeynautt »

Two questions:

1. Do you think Pluto is a planet?

2. Should a probe be sent to Pluto?

1. yes i think pluto is a planet
2. i think that it would be very interesting to send a probe to pluto, but there are other places that i would be more interested in us finding more about first

The reason I asked if you think Pluto is a planet is there was a lot of talk of whether it's big enoughto be classified as a planet. Some people wan't to call Pluto an asteriod!!

Well their aren't any plans to send men to pluto anytime soon but their is an oppurtunity to beable to send an unmanned probe in 2006. It would be the first probe ever sent to pluto. The problem is with Plutos strange orbit its hard to time launching probes or human flights. Their are only so many times you can do it. And that could cause a manned flight to be even longer having to wait for a return oppurtunity.
