Long Term Space Experiment

Post by Conan »

For those of you who might not have seen it, there is a great article this week in Time Magazine (cover story) http://science.time.com/2013/08/09/twin ... xperiment/
It is about Scott and Mark Kelly and the controlled experiment they are doing with NASA to assess the effects of long term space travel.

Have you seen the patch for the project? It's truly hideous...

I think it's an absolutely brilliant project. Will be following it closely. :)

Going to be quite interesting. When I was at Marshall at ISS mission control for experiments, they were sharing about the future of this mission. One issue in males, longer in space, certain amount blindness start to happen. This should be a big step for long range space travel.
