Actually, Vincent, I do know an astronaut. His name is Dr. Robert Thirsk, an amatuer radio communicator aboard the mission STS-78. In that case, would you do it?

Of course I'd do it! The question is, would he?!

Actually, even short of hanging out on the forum all day, I could just collect questions from everyone and he can come by and answer them or something...

Okay, let me ask him! I'll give you an answer tomorrow! And I like the sound of your idea! He's actually a really cool guy!

It sounds like it. That'd be cool if he'd do it. How do you know him?

I met him at an astronomy convention! We talked and he said he visited the Space Camp in Huntsville before. He should be interested, but the problem is, he hasn't replied my email yet! He is a Calgarian, Albertan and Canadian, of course!

You could also e-mail the NASA PAO and ask them, I bet they could send someone over.

How in the world do you meet all of these people? Oh yeah, I forgot you work at a space museum. I really wish there was something in Indy that would attract them so I could meet some of them.

I haven't met any. I've seen a few at the "Astronaut Encounter" at the visitors center, but they're nobodys and all they do is talk about bassic shuttle systems, except they really dumb it down.

I don't look at any astronaut as a nobody. They put their life on the line for the cause of science and exploration that doesnt make them a nobody in my book. Some of the ones i listed above arent well known either but to me they are all heroes.
