A Custom, "Limited Edition" Rank -- First 7 Who...

Post by Vincent »

In honor of this new forum system (and the amazing flexibility it offers), I've created the special rank, "An Original Seven" that will be given to the first seven people to post seven legitimate posts (no posts with just the word "post" [for example], no breaking up a post into several posts to extend the count, etc) to the new forum. If you've posted in the old forum, great...but those posts will not factor in to the count to seven.

Only seven people will ever have this rank and rank image (Image)

orion8 is the first to qualify, which means there are only six spots left.

Don't fret if you don't make the first seven...several other custom ranks will almost certainly be created in the future, and the best way to qualify for those is to register and start posting!

update: The "Original Seven" spots may all be taken, but there will be others in the future...to qualify for what may come tomorrow, you might want to consider registering and posting today!

I had to make sure to get this rating. Besides it being unique to only 7 people i also live in the home town of Project Mercury. The Mercury astronauts all trained here in Hampton, VA at NASA Langley Research Center and Langley did alot of the research and initial design work on the mercury capsule. You can still see it in the area. We have Mercury Blvd, Commander Shepard Blvd, and 6 bridges named for the other 6 Mercury astronauts so thats why I wanted to make sure to get this rating as a matter of local pride.

I've been part of Hab1 and the forum now for several months and I haven't seen this many post in such a short time ever in this place. This is great it use to take weeks to get any new post in the forum. And boy i'm glad i'm something other than a junior camper now. the ranking made me feel like i was 5th grader at space camp again but that was 11 years ago. This whole web page and forum was a great idea i found it looking for campers sights and it was the only one i found at the time. Keep up the good work now when one of my 4 space camp anniversaries rolls around again i wont be depressed because i'm not their anymore now i can just come here and find others like me who love space camp. keep up the good work. 8)

Well, it surely wasn't meant to do that, but something close! It's a take-off from SpaceCamp (the movie) where Andie and Max are debating whether or not he can stay at Space Camp or go back to "Junior Camp."

but, hey. Now you only need 15 posts to break away from "Junior Camper" status. On the old board, it was 30!

First, I'd like to thank the "Academy"...

Wow! An "Original Seven." Actually, the original! How cool. Anyway, what a great idea, Vincent! Way to get people posting! This is so cool because we can really get some topics going. I love the new forum, BTW. I used to just read it every now and then, and the same topics would always be there from months ago. But since the new forum, It has really taken off! Keep up the good work, Vincent!

I'm so glad I got original seven. When I saw the post I quickly put up more posts so I could get one. At ASA I was on the Shepard team so I really wanted this ranking!!

Monkeynautt are you intentionally trying to post more than me to get more post? or is it just my imagination? just wondering i've just noticed every time i post you post again? I've also noticed were pulling ahead of vincent

I know what you mean. I'm so glad to find others who can talk about space camp as much as i do. I have had people who went to camp and i talked to them about camp so much they started putting me on ignore. Or atyleast i think thats the reason i never did anything else to them so i guess that is.
