Incorrect login?

Post by Space Nerd »

This isnt a huge problem but i thought i would see if anybody else was having it or if it was just me. I noticed when using internet explorer i'll have to type in my password at least two times almost every time i try to log in. I know my password is right because i've had the same pass for years and i have checked to make sure i'm typing it correctly by staring at the keys as i depress them. That being said i notice this dosnt ever happen when i use FireFox. It's not a big worry cause i only log on in IE at school but i just wondered if it was a problem for anybody else :?:

I had the same problem with IE for about a month back in late 2004. I don't know what happened, but now it works fine. It could have been an update gone wrong, so make sure your IE is updated... Other than that... it's a mystery to me!

I just dont use IE anymore unless its required by the website i'm viewing. It sucks. Mine started almost a year or so ago and never stopped so i just typed in my password repeatedly. Thankfully, FireFox dosnt have that problem.

You ever run a spyware scan? A virus scan? DSO exploits abound. Its not the worst product ever if you keep it updated but its generally a big piece of security swiss cheese.

Yeah, we run Norton, SpyBot, and Ad-Aware at least once a month. On top of that I think we run at least 2 firewalls.

Well if you've got firewalls you're probably ok then. Nonetheless IE is still pretty buggy. I'd def. run virus more than once a month though!

The we run the virus about once a week but the others not as often. It just depends on how much we're using the computer and who is using it.
