The Book

What Space Camp forum would be complete without a place to talk about one of the best/worst movies of all time, SpaceCamp, as well as all Space Camp references in pop culture.

The Book

Post by Richasi »

Has anyone ever read the Scholastic book for the movie?

I did once and I didn't really care for it... though I finally learned Max's last name thanks to it. The book went a little out of order from the film but it was interesting never-the-less.

Anyone else read it?

You might also want to check Used Book Stores, if you have any near you. And also EBAY. Sometimes someone sells it. I got mine at a used book store and read through most of it. I just didn't like it. There were some cool details that I liked but other than that the whole book seemed out of order compared to the movie. I am going to try and find it and take it with me to seattle. It'll give me something to read on the plane.

I took the book with me on the plane to Seattle but I didn't get a chance to read anything from it - thought I might. Oh well. At least I found the book so I'll have to try and read it again sometime soon.

I found it today in my school library. It was stuffed in the back of the shelve. I've never seen the movie, so I can't compair them.

Reviving an ancient thread here, but I recently came across the book on Amazon. My favorite part is the starburst on the cover that says "Now a major motion picture", implying that the movie is based on the book when its really the other way around (I don't think the book was even released until after the movie).
Ad astra per aspera.
