What Space Camp forum would be complete without a place to talk about one of the best/worst movies of all time, SpaceCamp, as well as all Space Camp references in pop culture.

I dont know my favorite scene i love the whole movie but i do know my favorite line.
"I cant believe it i'm not going up. They picked Eddie Miller instead of me. He gets air sick in cars"

Well people hate watching the movie with me because i can quote it almost line for line ive seen it so many times now.

Due to the lact of conversation, and the unnecessary need to put in a new topic, I thought I'd revive this one. The ORIGINAL topic :)

Okay, so favorite scene...

I think it's got to be the whole sequence of the mission where Max is in the arm and Kevin and Kathryn are at the control of the shuttle simulator. The entire sequence makes me laugh everytime.

"We're about to land in the red zone... waaaaaaah no survivors!"

:)

I think probably the three best dramatic Jinx scenes I like are the one where Jinx first encounters the big NASA computer - the whole musical sequence and his actions to gain access to the system are nice.

The sequence where the guys hastle Jinx and he breaks down and max fixes him. That connection between boy and machine is great.

That, and at the ending where he notices the morse code. That entire sequence and the determination he has to get them to listen is really great.

Now, as to Jinx's funny moments. I think the first bit where he's sitting in the museum unbeknownst to Kevin who gets a face full of Jinx. "Where the hell is that ratchet; in your hand". Great stuff.

And the moment Max askes Jinx about "how to get to the beach". I love that shortened speech about how the space station is going to reuse human solid waste

I always loved Jinx from the first time i saw the movie. Too bad they never really had a robot like that at space camp. And one of my other favorite non jynx scenes is in the jeep. I always would have liked to be Kevin in that scene.

By the way will you get your ass out of my parking space...

Oh, my parents hate that movie... with a passion. Not because it's a bad movie but because how many afternoons they had to endure me watching it... over... and over.... and over... and over... and over...

That and WarGames.

That is a pretty funny scene but actually it was a 5DF not a MMU.
