What Space Camp forum would be complete without a place to talk about one of the best/worst movies of all time, SpaceCamp, as well as all Space Camp references in pop culture.

We have a TV/VCR in our minivan so i watch space camp and apollo 13 all the way to camp. It takes the edge off of the excitement!

I just watched it again I was surpised by the short shorts by not just the women and the trainees but both the men and Andy. Times sure have changed if they allowed at least the trainees to wear those short shorts, I would not want to wear those shorts during Aera 51.

Well it was 1986 look at pictures from that time period shorts were not as long for guys or girls that was the style. I dont remember many shorts coming to the knee like mens do now and i am old enough to remember it. guys shorts have gotten much longer in the last 20 years and with girls it seems like it goes either way.

My video version disappeared years ago. I have no idea what happened to it. I used to watch it all the time, especially when I was getting closer to going to camp for the first time.

I bought the dvd version last month. I wanted to show my fiance some of the things that we do at camp. I also wanted to see it again before I went back to camp.

Top Gun

Post by Conan »

I saw it twice. (Fewer times than I have been to AC) but I used the music in editing my video from Pilot/Copilot AC in 1999.

I have never been to AC as an AC trainee but I have seen Top Gun so many times my tape is in rough condition. Now, whether I have seen Top Gun or SpaceCamp more is unknown but close.

I've lost count on the number of times I've seen either movie. After a few summers of Airport Staff I got to know the SC dialog by heart. As for Top Gun, I saw it in the theater the summer it came out and my dad bought the video when it first came out on VHS (yeah, I'm old). LOL Love both movies!!! 8)

Seen Top Gun many times before working at Ac then saw it in bits and pieces every week this past summer. We always show it when doing top gun competitions. I can tell you whats happening in the movie just by the music at this point.
