I really don't know if they will be hiring next summer. I applied in March of 2003 and didn't get asked to work until April of 2004 because they weren't hiring. They do a big push for counselors early on for spring camps, and start their training in January.
I just got lucky this summer-- no one can say for sure how many of the old counselors will return for the next summer, so you can only apply and see if they need you. They like counselors who have been campers before.
Also, I heard the video interview requirement could also be worked with. I ran around campus for 3 days trying to procure some video equipment, when I had other options (or so Ben Alvy tells me).
Good luck

This is true, but apparently 2003 was rare in that they didn't hire any untrained people for the summer...So who knows.

If you want to work at Space Camp, apply as soon as you meet most of their requirements for employment...

That's more-or-less been discusses...1 to 1.5 years of college instead of 2, etc.

...so not much, but a little...

I can't remember if they had less than 2 years but still 60 credit hours because they took college courses in high school. I know Jessica H was young, with only a year of college, but I can't remember what her circumstances were.
You might need to have 60 (or close to 60) to be considered. I would apply once you approach 45 hours and see what happens.

Well, I don't know if I'm to young to be a counselor, but I don't know what the minimum age is... :?: But since this is my last year at school, I might just have the time to come to spacecamp in summer, so I hope I can be a counselor...
