I had the best counsellors ever! I had Ben both years, Tillie my first year and Michelle the 2nd. Michelle is awesome! Smiley is cool too! He did our lego rovers the first year.

Well i still say that my night counselor Red back in 98 was the best. Amnd everyone i kinow who ever had him areed and some who met him wished thayd had him after they met him while at camp.

I've always had great counslers, and even got to know some great ones that weren't "counsler-ing" my team. haha

Do you know Jason's last name? If it's Jason Mguffin i know him. He was on my ASA team in 98 we were both pilots the 2 Jasons on the team. He later went on to be a counselor.

Yeah i know a few of those! I have some how managed to meet alot of counselors in my time at camp. I think it comes from going when there are only 4 people there lol.

I dont know i met alot of diffrent counselors when i went to ASA and AC but not so much the other 2 years.

I would definitely have to agree with everyone. The counselors help make the whole experience of space camp. I had Becky Baxter and Ben (I can't remember his last name). They were a blast. I also went to Astrotrek in 2000, but I don't remember a whole lot about it.

FYI although this is a ref for quite a bit up the list there but Nat moved on...

the week i was there (aug 17-23 2002) was her last week and she missed graduation to move... she now resides in New York near one of the members of my team working on her Masters... the Buffalo area i believe... if any of you want to talk to her let me know...

Well unfortunately even the best have to move on eventually. Although some do sooner than others. My counselor in 91 was their for another 8 years before he left.

And I knew Carlos, Angeline, and Nathalie pretty well. Carlos y yo hablamos espanol juntos en el Hab.

I remember Melissa with rockets (night fireworks!!

shweetness!)
And no one can forget Joel, although he wasn't exactly a counselor, but he gives pretty funny speeches at Orientation... maybe he should go into comedy

Joel is always hilarious. I don't remember all of my counselors, though I remember Brent (how many little kids did he terrorize during your stay?). I also remember the nurse who had to rebandage my finger every night a few years ago (It had been almost completely severed before camp and it looked like a charred hot dog).

Smiley by far is the coolest counselor ever. I still keep in touch with him and we talk all the time. He and brent and kristen and carlos are the coolest. Carlos just got married last thursday and he is going to have a son or a daughter sometime soon. Carlos taught me how to cuss in spanish and Brent and I talk like everyday. I never had him as a counselor, but he trained me in mocr and just offered me his screename one day. He's really cool. I hope i can have him as a counselor this summer. He, however, has accepted a part-time job at AC...but he switches back and forth between AC and ASA...

yes, he married this woman from wisconsin or wyoming or something...shes moving down here with carlos. I know shes pregnant, but I don't know anything beyond that...he said he was going to train it to kill brent

Carlos is one cool dude...I always wanted to have him as a counselor, but always ended up getting him for training. He and Brent together made for a really interesting pair...He doesn't work at camp anymore. He is there on occassion, but he works at Best Buy now with Stephen Davis i do believe.

Man it's been way too long since i've been to space camp. I don't recognise any of the counselor names anymore with the exception of Jason since i knew him before he was acounselor.

Its okay, most of them are leaving or in the process of leaving sometime soon. Its kinda sad. Ive met some of the newbies and I knew more than them and that was scary. There were 100 new counselors hired and had just finished training when I was there in March. Its like a whole new generation of counselors.

Well the first counselor i ever had was actually there for 8 years i saw him every year i went to camp but he left the year following my last trip.
