Space Camp Hiring for January 2015

Space Camp is hiring for our January 7, 2015 Crew Trainer class! If you know anyone who might be interested, whether they just graduated this December, are interested in taking a semester off for internship credit, or just want to do something different for a bit, let them know about this opportunity.

We are looking for individuals who are at least 20 years of age, have 30 college credit hours, and commit to Open Availability (Sunday-Saturday 6:15am-11:00pm)

Man, how I wish I knew about this when I was in my 20s, I would have done this for a year or so for sure...

I wished I could turn back time, Love to be there & do that!!! Love to work in dealing with space!!

A common fallacy is that this is a job just for 20 somethings. I was in my 40s when I was hired and since then they've hired a number of folks that age and older! If you'd love to do, then do it! It was totally different from anything I'd ever done before and I loved it!

I was referring to where I am in life right now, more so than my age. I've bene working for the company I'm with for 12 years now, making way more money than SC could ever pay me to be a counselor. I've also been married for almost 15 years now, and there's simply no way I'd be able to justify quitting my job, leaving my wife to find a new job after she's had over 15 years at her current one, moving over 2000 miles (to a climate I joined the Army in 1998 to get out of) to be a counselor.
If I'd been aware of this in my 20s when I didn't have the above tethers in life, then yeah, I probably would have done it then. But then again, I never would have probably met my wife...
