Where did you stay?

Post by Lin »

Hi everyone,

I know I already posted once tonight. I hopeyou don't mind a second!

I'm going to be doing the 3-day adult camp in August/September. (Yay!) Because I'll be flying in from Maine, it seems the best thing would be to get there a day early. I know the Marriott is right next door, but they're a tad expensive. So, my questions:

- Is the next door Marriott worth the $180 a night?

- Is there another good hotel nearby?

- If I stay at the Marriott and check out the museum the afternoon/evening before camp, is there a charge for museum admission or is that included in my camp cost? (Or not because it's before camp officially starts?)

Thank you!!

The advantage to the Marriott is you don't have to rent a car if you're flying in. It's the only hotel within easy walking distance. There are a couple more hotels on the other side of Landrys (about a mile hike). The closest is the Hilton Garden Inn and I believe the other one is Extended Stay. Expedia shows a Candlewood that is closer, but it is on the other side of the interstate.
