as a counselor, perhaps I can shed some light on the cell phone issue.

We do not have a problem if you bring your cellphone here and use it at night or in the morning to call home. During freetime, if you ask, we're usually willing to let you call home then too.

The problem arises when they come out during classes, or are being used to call others on the team, or are being used to text each other. Then we will tell you to put them up in your lockers. If you continue to ignore our warnings, we will take them away, give them to a white shirt, and you will only be allowed to use them at night to call home. They will of course be returned at graduation.

You have to use your cell phone multiple times while we see it to get it confiscated. But if you lose it - we take no responsibility for it, because we do tell you not to bring it.

I'd say bring a lot of 1's to spend in the vending machines, but if your parents will be coming for graduation, and you will have time to go see the gift shop after, i'd wait to bring it then, and carry around a day bag with you, that way you can carry your money, cell phone, and other stuff around with you.
