I always wanted to just try out AC again. I have always kept my allegiance (sp?...whatever) to Space Camp not because I don't like the AC stuff, but rather because NASA and Space have always been what I lean toward.

I enjoyed AC quite a bit while i was there but i found after i left was when i realized how much fun I actually had that week. I liked the element of a little more strictness i kinda feel like i left AC with a little extra responsibility in me. When we were first headed out to do EnE i was a little apprehensive about it and i didnt think i was going to have fun at all. But after starting i found it was alot more fun than i had originally thought. Although i wish that MRE would have settled a little better before we started running lol.

well I was sorta in a bind when I had to decide about camp. It was either wait a long time or do AC because Academy was full for the summer. You must know me and patience...I chose AC hands down.

If I tell you, Ill be forced to kill you... Nah - I made that verison of the 77th TFS Black Knights patch, based off the old counselor squadron patch used at AC a few years back. Most of the counselors that where part of the 77th have moved on, but a few still are there, lurking...

Now tho, if you read in the new SC/AC summer catalog under the M3 program guide, you will find some info on the Black Knights. However, the current going ons of the 77th will remain a secret until your a trainee here at AC....

Well unfortunately i'll probably never get back to AC diue to a physical disaility that would keep me from doing just about anything there.

Major bummer there Loverboy. AC really has gotten over shadowed the past few years by SC, but the current counselors that have been working there the past few seasons are really trying hard to revamp the whole program.

We are slowly getting everything repainted and updated, adding new sim functionality and SIMs, more advanced patrolling techniques and different places to go and patrol too. We are even trying to update those old airplanes sitting in the weeds. AC "hopfully" this summer will have a corrosion control team from a fighter squadron to repaint a few of those buckets of rust..!

Off to work on the Aviation Pioneers Power Point...

That sounds great and i really hope you can get the planes and everything fixed up. How bad have the planes gotten i havent been there to AC in 7 years and the last time i was there they looked ok but then alot can happen in 7 years. We have an aviation park around here whos planes were just left to the elements for more than 19 years and thay were really in bad shape. But thankfully the Commander of Langley AFB provided the manpower and supplies to repaint most of the Stuff and NASA provided paint and manpower to paint the rockets so they are all looking beautiful now. But prior to that you could barely make out the markings on many of the planes and paint was seriously pealijg some of these planes date back to the korean war.
On the counselor side of things does Grunt sill work at AC? I believe he is the only person i know there that was there when i was.

They're in bad shape, but not on life support yet... yet.

Edit --> Grunt, last time I saw him, he was working in marketing for the Sprocket, but he is no longer a counselor.
