Well i cant really say anything bad about the Jolly Rogers Squadron since the actual one is based here at NAS Oceana but then so is the real Red Rippers squadron that i was part of at AC. I thought it was so cool when the Red Rippers got transfered here a few months after i graduated AC.

Haha poor counselors. Wait, how does one define a season? I have gone four times this year once I go this summer, but I never know when a season ends and another starts, nor do I know how many there are in a year.

SC/AC seasons start in Oct(ish), so the calender will go to week 1 then. There are 52 weeks in a season, simular to a year. Currently we will start week 40 on Sat, then there are 12 more weeks til this current season ends.

However, most counselors like to have their seasons counted by summers they have worked, because most are college students that only work summers.

Stupid fiscal (sp?) year....yeah most counselors that mention how many seasons they have been around count by summers. Of course, I am very rarely there in the summer. My trip in July will be only the second time I have been there during the summer.

I know there is a forum for Space Campers why not stop reading the craziness from AC and go there? This forums area is called the Barracks for a reason. And trust me AC .. is not a hyped up military camp" like everyone assumes. It's better!
As an AC counselor now on my 5th tour this is not an attitude I agree with or appriciate being spread around. Especially the derogatory use of the term "Space Campers." The veteran counselors make no distinction between AC and Camp trainees.
