A place for ACers to come and hang out after a hard day of escape-and-evade or survival training.

thats a godo question boeing, ill be there for the 13 day program right before you, and id like to know the same thing, but no one will tell us. I do know that it will be a mindblowing experience, its going to be very different from a Mach II Program. Ive been told by a very reliable source, that the program this summer is going to blow us all away, and thats on a comparison of Mach III Programs, so we're in for a real treat!
MACH II - 03 Hook/Jinx - Eagles(Anime) - Week 38 Right Stuff · MACH III - 04 Okra/Jinx - Blacklions(Snort) · MACH III - 05 Clips/Fish - Blacklions(Spyder) · MACH III - 06 Shaggy - Pukin Dogs(Stargate) · MACH III Elite - 07 Hawg/Forecast - Vigilanties(Spyder)

I don't think anyone here has gone to the 13 day AC. I know people who have gone to 13 day ASA and had an amazing time so I'm sure AC will be great. Part of the fun is not knowing what will happen. When I went to 8 day ASA in 2004, they wanted us to keep the missions secret so the other weeks could have an element of surprise.

Even at that, when people told me about the 8-day camp it had changed by the time I went to the 8-day camp! If it is anything like ASA, the longer camp will include elements from the basic camp with loads more time in the sims, more challenging missions, extra briefings, more activities, and a whole lot more fun.

I loved 8-day camp... I will return... eventually...

this I CAN answer! Pilots/RIO's are simply chosen by who is more comfortable in the seat. At the beginning of the session, everyone will have a chance to fly both Pilot and RIO. You'll probably be flying with whomever is your best friend at camp, even if you're going alone, you'll meet someone to fly with. this will be my fifth summer at AC, and fourth and final as a Mach III, I've always been a RIO, and thats just fine by me. If your more comfortable with trying to manuever an fly, and lets admit it, we all want to, then go for it as a Pilot, but sometimes its just as much fun to sit in the back and actually run the show as the RIO, supervising your weapons payload, fuel, radar, navigation, etc.
