My Girl

My girl is a vegetable

She lives in a hospital

And I t d do most anything

To keep her alive

She's got her own TV

It's called an EKG.

But I' d do most anything

To keep her alive

My girl ain't go no eyes

Just two holes and lots of flies

But I'd do most anything

To keep her alive

My girl ain't got no nose

Just a piece of rubber hose

But I' d do most anything

To keep her alive

My girl ain' t got no hands

Just a pair of teflon pans

But I f d do most anything

To keep her alive

My girl ain' t got no legs

Just some string and wooden pegs

But I t d do most anything

To keep her alive

My girl ain't got no skin

Just a bag to keep her in

But I ' d do most anything

To keep her alive

While I do like that jody - that is not my favorite by any means. If you think hard enough, Spanky, you might be able to name it.

Need any clues?

No (personally I'd rather sing Po' Lazarus from O Brother Where Art Thou).

Great movie - it makes me laugh everytime.

SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON

Around her hair she wore a yellow ribbon
She wore it in the springtime, in the merry month of May
And if you asked her why the heck she wore it
She wore it for her trooper who was in the Cavalry!
Refrain: Cavalry! Cavalry!
She wore it for her trooper in the U.S. Cavalry!

When I was deployed, Household Six hung Yellow Ribbons for her trooper far, far, away.

Was very sweet. The day I came home, she had one in her hair.

Sniff...sniff...

I was TWO states over, thank you very much, and EXTREMELY lucky.

Had I not moved and REFRADed early, I would have been sent to the Sandbox for a training tour.

My unit sent the Combat Engineer Captain instead.

Lot of fun he had.

Training Cav troopers.

HOOAH!

Completely random, but the streets here are lined with yellow ribbons (tied on trees, sign posts, and just about anywhere a ribbon can be tied to) whenever our troops come home from abroad. Is that a military tradition around the world, or just in Canada, and wherever you live?
