So I will be attending the Adult Advanced Academy in November. I've ordered a Flight Suit as part of my package and am wondering how well true they are to size? I'm a 2XL in all of my clothes and they are pretty baggy. However, on a lark, I picked up a Vintage Flight Suit from the early 2000's (I'm guessing) that was an XL and it was a no-go! Should I be worried and order a size up?

Having worn flught suits several times for real aircraft,, I can tell you they're supposed to be worn over other clothes, but not like work coveralls.
A little baggy is just fine as there are gathers at the waist.

The XL's do fit tight. You should def order a size up, for comfort more than anything.
Also, if the suit you ordered doesn't fit, they will swap it out for you.

So I went ahead and purchased a Flight Suit from the Museum store in one size up and it is a tight fit! I may have to go another size up unless I can drop another ten pounds by the start of the session.

If you get down there and the flight suit you ordered doesn't fit, you can exchange it on-site if they have your size, or get a refund.

Yep! I was able to exchange mine when I got on-site. Turns out that they run about two sizes too small around the waist. I actually took mine to a tailor just today to get the legs hemmed and my mission patches sewn on.

Funny, as I think they fit two sizes too big in the waist. Perspective.

I'm an adult female with a small waist and the flight suits are unisex. I wear youth size 20 or adult XXS flight suit. I am concerned that I won't have enough room on my flight suit for my 2022 mission patch. I'm not ready to remove any of the old ones. (I guess I could buy a new flight suit to sew the newer mission patches onto.)

I actually bought two suits. One suit has my mission patches and the other one has my achievement patches (Outstanding Team and Alumni patches). That way I have one for "formal" functions and one for "daily" wear!
