My husband's flight suit - redesigned for 2015!
(Mine will be very similar.)

VERY nice, I always love seeing other nation's flags on SC suits!
I think a lot of us change their suits often. Each year I've gone, my suit looked very different. I'm seriously thinking of turning another I have (but have never brought to camp) into an 'alumni' one...

Very nice, Braids. Goose will look extra sharp. Love the little goose patch!

His idea!

I only change my flight suit once, when first bought: to add the Canadian flag and astronaut patches. Then it's just adding mission patches; no really big changes. We may change out the SC logo to the alumni patches when we get them later this year.

I didn't even notice the Goose patch in that regard and I did recall that being his call sign from one of your previous posts. Can't believe I didn't put 2 and 2 together there.

I wonder how many others will be doing the same. I know PK, Steve and I have each pondered this since our October trip there.
I have a feeling that many people will show up starting this year with the alumni patch in place of the SC one.
I'm still on the fence on that subject, as I have actual "Space Academy" patches on all my SC gear, which aren't easy to find anymore.

I have an 'Advanced Space Academy' patch I thought of putting on too, but didn't want to take one off my camp blanket to get two of them. I was quite fond of those patches and was really gutted when they discontinued them.

They may yet bring back an ASA patch if they decide to bring the program back, but with the Gumby figure instead of the STS, or maybe an Orion spacecraft. I plan to put an Alumni patch on my Camp satchel, along with a vintage Hab1 patch that p51 gave me. For future flightsuits, I'll always go with a program (SC, SA, ASA) patch, as that's really what you're representing on your suit. I put those on the top of my right sleeve. An Alumni patch would go great on a Camp jacket, though.

The youth Advanced Space Academy programme never stopped running.

Without the adult market, I guess they didn't figure they had a market for them. The USSRC could make millions if they would just listen to us. I know, I'm preaching to the choir.

Well, they did listen to me on one thing. Last summer when I was there was the first time that they didn't provide towels to the campers. I had no advance notice on this and brought no towels with me. Fortunately, they had a few old ones in lost and found that they were able to loan to me and my fellow alumni who were used to having them provided. On my evaluation, I suggested that they should market a Space Camp beach towel in the gift shop. That way campers who didn't bring a towel with them could buy one. I checked this week and they have one for sale on the website now.

I think what the gift shop has and stocks is a thread unto itself, but I am left wondering if they really listen to their customers at all?

The beach towels have been a gift shop item for a couple of years. I think they're still selling from the initial purchase, as not many have sold at all. I've been at Space Camp for 11 years, Conan, and towels have never been supplied during that time. I believe they quit providing them a year or two before I got there. The first item on the packing list is towels and washcloths. http://www.spacecamp.com/docs/NEW_MBK2015.pdf
