Colleges

Post by bbrierty »

yeah, as far as colleges I'm about to be a junior in aerospace engineering at University of Michigan, I'd highly recommend it to any not sure what colleges to look into...otherwise go where your heart or money takes you, sometimes thats the only choice you get, at least thats my case, the roommate situation is kinda crap, I went in blind, and ended up with one guy who was constantly coming back drunk, and another who never left his computer, not even to sleep, so good luck with that, but I'm sure you'll all be fine...and as far as hicks go, living in southwest michigan I'd say michigan has a few rednecks, but having relatives in kentucky, I'm gonna have to give Kentucky/Tennessee/Alabama the award for most hicks.

UofM is a great school when it comes to academics but i would hate that campus during the winter. Public transportation in AA isn't great either. Nonetheless it was still one of my top choices before i decided to head to warmer climates... I still say that of all the hicks i've met the local county fair brings in scarier ones...

I'm leaving on the 15th and all i can think about is how much there is to do before then. I recently decided to take a full 5 days off of work before i leave instead of 3 so i can get everything in order. Whew. New dorm stuff is cool though. I'm waiting till i get there to get most of mine since shipping is quite insane these days!

School: Arizona State

Minor: I will probably go with Anthropology later...
Year: ASU is calling me a Sophomore though before the transfer I had completed two full years of college. Lesson: Don't go to a school whose credits won't transfer easily.

School: Northern Alberta Institute of Technology
Major: Engineering Design and Drafting Technology
Minor: Architectural Technology (if you can call it a minor, we didn't have minors but my husband was taking Architectural Technology and I learned enough of it I could consider it a minor or dual degree...)
Year: Graduated in April 2003 - hurrah!

Now I work doing Architectural and Engineering Design and Drafting, so it works...
