KSC FCU is now....

Post by majtom7 »

Effective June 1, 2014, Kennedy Space Center FCU has changed its name to Launch FCU. The name change is
not a reflection of a merger with another credit union, and we have not been bought out. The name "Launch" reflects
the growth and future of the credit union for our current and future members while retaining our heritage of
exploration. The staff, Board of Directors and our commitment to exceed the expectations of our members have not
changed and will never waiver. Please join us as we Launch into this new phase of our history.

Just another lame case of someone wanting to say they left their mark on something, for their annual review... :?

With their former name, it was natural to think that their field of membership was limited to those who work at KSC and their families. It is not. Membership is open to anyone that lives, works, or worships in Brevard or Volusia Counties.

Actually, it is quite common for credit unions to change their names as their field of membership expands. For example, Alliant Credit Union used to be the United Airlines credit union.
