I have a rabbit. Image
She inspired my name . . .a fear of 7UP cans. Crazy rabbit. She's seven years old.

My mom has six goldfish that are really old. They're mutants I swear, no goldfish should live eight years. Yes it's true, eight YEARS old, older than my rabbit!

I have a nut case for a dog. She ran head on at full speed into a tree yesterday and knocked herself out; when she woke up, she just went on running like nothing had happened. I think she's brain damaged, but I love her anyway.

My beau and I have a cat named Lady, although she lives with me at my parents' house. She is all grey with a white patch on her tummy and a silver patch on her nose. It was her birthday yesterday - she turned one!

My brother has a German Shepard - Collie cross dog named Zorro. He is five years old but still behaves like a puppy. It is so cute the way he plays with the cat.

My beau wants to get fish and an ant colony when we move out. (In addition to our cat.) I think I'll limit him to fish though; no ants!

Just regular goldfish food. *looks at food* Wardley's premium goldfish flakes. They also have some greenery stuff that they eat in the tank. Other than that, nothing special. I'm surprised that they've lived this long, they rarely get their tank cleaned (my mom's fish, but she makes everyone else clean it). I think they've grown so used to the scum that they'd die if we cleaned it.

I had a 2 dogs and a cat when I was younger (Doby, a doberman who died after eating a bird when I was 5; Cleo, a collie-shepard mix who died of complications after an incident with the neighbor's dog, rendering me petrified of dogs for years; and Dusty, whose picture will be at the end of this post, and who died in late 2003 (Oct/Nov) b/c we put him down for old age at 21). My sister has a ferret named Missy now. I would put a picture of her up, but I think they are all at home (and I'm at college).

(this is Dusty in the early 90s, so he was a lot younger then)

Did anyone here about the lady who had the vet's operate on her goldfish?
The fish always swam on its side, so they attached a cork to its side. Can you imagine spending $300 dollars so a goldfish could swim upright?

Holy cow, that's insane. It's just a goldfish! I understand that people get attached to their pets, but $300 for an operation on your goldfish?! Insane. . .I'd rather spend my money on space camp, lol.

I was attatched to a tetra once but when we had that freezing power outage i didnt shed any tears when he died lol. How can you have emotional attatchment to a fish? They swim..... thats pretty much it. I guess if you're lonely........

Animals are insane, lol, though at times more sane than humans. . . if my rabbits nicknamed psych0rabbit, what's that tell you about me?

I have two cats, Aspen, a black shorthair with white markings who I got from a shelter, and Hickory, a black longhair who was a stray. Hickory is blind in her left eye, but seems to get along well seeing in only one.

I've had other cats growing up, had hamsters while in college, and when I was little my brother and sister had all kinds of pets...fish, hermit crabs, and gerbils!

My mom doesn't really like cats and my dad's not a fan of dogs. So after much begging, I got a rabbit.
