What are people doing this summer '05

Post by ApolloXI »

Hey there all.
I was wondering what most of us where doing this summer.
I am starting a summer session of college here in Nashville, I am taking Pre-Cal and C++. For fun I am writing a fantasy, I am using D&D rules and stuff to help me.

I'm working 2 maybe 3 jobs this summer. At the end of the month I'll be going down to HSV to register for classes this fall as well as attend 12 day ASA. I leave Indiana for good August 17.

Going to an astronaut autograph convention in August! other than that, just the usual stuff...work, volunteering at the science museum, going to the pool, watching movies.

Summer Plans

Post by shenandoah04 »

Lesse, I'm going to school, taking Intro Bio, um... I'm doing choir and helping to start a youth program at my church, I'm applying to volunteer at a semi-local (like 30 mins away from the colllege) science center, but they're sending the app. in the mail so that may not start till fall and may be only on breaks, since I'm going to be working my butt off to transfer in the fall. I MIGHT be going to see the launch, but that's a maybe, since I have school. A few people from my ASA group wanted to get together down there in July. I'm probably going to visit my grandfather in early August in Florida, and I don't know what else I'm going to do. :)

Well since my spring classes dont actually get done till this week i guess i'm still taking those classes lol. I'm also taking Intro to Operating Systems this summer and working as a Lifeguard at the local pool. And hopefully.... if i'm incredibly lucky.... I'll have time to go to Arizona for a little vacation towards the end of the summer!

i'm going to ASA 12-day (June 26th - July 8th), then going to Colorado Springs for a family vacation with all my cousins, then some of my cousins and my grandma are driving down through Mexico for at least two weeks, before my grandma and I fly out of Mexico City, then it's getting everything ready for college.

Wow, sounds like everyone has very eventful summers. Let me see here... Nothing too spacey going on in my life right now. My fiancé and I just bought a house, so we will probably spend a lot of time settling into that. The rest of my time will be spent at work, planning my wedding, going camping, biking, hiking, rollerblading, and who knows... we might even get married by autumn...

It's not quite as exciting as some. I wish I could go to the youth 12-day or even the adult 8-day Space Camp programme this summer, but no... I will wait patiently for everyone's stories and pictures of 12-day...

Enjoy the summer everyone!!

Thanks for the well wishes! We are definitely excited to move into our new house and get married.

I still wish I could be going to Space Camp this summer too... :P

I know... I could mischeviously plan a side trip to Huntsville on the way back from our honeymoon... hmmm... a week-long layover... <evil grin>

The gears in my head are always turning... what I will come up with next? I wonder if anyone has been married under Pathfinder before? (Just kidding. Although it would be fun, I am not THAT obsessed!)

Thank goodness education in Canada costs only a fraction of what it does in the United States! (Thank you government!)

i'm spending most of my time working at an inn in my town. my two best friends and i are goign to lake george NY this weekend to go to americade which is this big biker rally sorta thing, not that we ride motorcycles or anything its just like crazy fun partying and a good time. other than work and hanging out with my friends, my family is going camping in maine at the end of the month. and in august my cousin is getting married in NYC. after that my dad, brother and i are taking a almost a week to drive down to huntsville for my orientation at uah. we're going to see a cincinnati vs san francisco baseball game on our way down. and then my summer will be over!
