Re: Less than a month away from ASA!
Okay I finally got it to go through via one of those free fax sites. Hopefully it actually worked! I'll bring the form with me anyway though, just in case.

It was sitting on my fax machine when I came in this morning. I'll personally deliver it to the tank this morning. Thank you for your patience!

Sorry, bad movie reference. But true.

At least you stayed away from animal crackers.SpaceCanada wrote:"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go..."

BTW, sung by Chantal Kreviazuk on the soundtrack.
Standing there alone, the ship is waiting
All systems are go, are you sure?
Control is not convinced
But the computer has the evidence
No need to abort
The countdown starts
Watching in a trance, the crew is certain
Nothing left to chance, all is working
Trying to relax, up in the capsule
"Send me up a drink", jokes Major Tom
The count goes on
4, 3, 2, 1
"I wanted to be humble, never arrogant, which is a trait astronauts despise." Mike Massimino

Re: Less than a month away from ASA!
Space geek types for the most part hate the movie, "Armageddon," but I liked it.
Great song, I love thar version from the soundtrack. Almost used it for my youtube sc slideshow from last year's team.
Just got back from NYC and a cross country train trip.
I had a blast and my wife did too. But still, I thought about all you who were going to this week long session with Hoot and I have been green with envy the entire time anyway...

Movie? I'm showing my age here, but that's a song from my teens! I actually sang it in a band I was in in junior high school.SpaceCanada wrote:"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go..."

I'll be there October 11-16, training with an Astronaut. I'll be driving up from Birmingham, AL on the 10th and staying at the Marriott that night. Looking forward to meeting everyone, and hope to see a few of you at the bar Saturday night. Feel free to PM me and I'll send my contact info if anyone is interested in getting together for dinner and/or drinks Saturday.
Also, I just spoke with the registration office, and currently there are 29 participants registered and they will be split into two teams.
