Here are the various wings I have, minus a third pair of Advanced Space Academy wings identical to the other two. I am not sure why there are different coloured Space Camp wings or which levels the Aviation Challenge wings represent.

Nice! I like the 25th anniversary pin!
My understanding is that lanyard ID’s aren’t being used at SC anymore, so I guess people just put their wings in a box and forget about them now. I guess that would explain how I found the two pairs I have in pockets on the flight suits I have bought at collector shows.

The different colored wings indicated different programs.
Space Camp (ages 9-11) and Parent Child get the red Space Camp wings.
Space Academy (ages 12-14 & Adult) get the blue Space Camp wings.
Advanced Academy (ages 15-17) gets the round AA wings.
AC green: Mach I and Pilot CoPilot
AC blue: Mach II & adult
AC red: Mach III

I have seen those before i think they are the blue ones Street mentioned above don't know if the manufacturer changed or what but i've seen some space academy wings that look more green like that than blue.

I'm guessing the orange AC wings were an off-tint as well, then?

I love the combined knowledge of the group here. We're like a Space Camp archive. :)

I have seen a few off colored AC wings as well. Especially when they made the 25th anniversary silver wings some of the colors seemed off.

Definitely sad to see the name badges go! They were a point of pride to wear around! Although probably not a great decision cost wise, I wish they had both. The wristbands for medicine/money, but the name badges to serve their original purpose, tell a person's name! Ha-deo-Tacha-Meany. I have no idea how to spell that, but you know what i'm talking about, Kevin Donaldson.

Any clue what "Space Camp II" wings were used for?

At one time there early in its history there were two Space Camp programs, Space Camp and Space Camp 2. I don't think the ages lined up with any current program exactly but the programs were most like Camp and Academy from what i can tell.

When a third program was added they were renamed Space Camp, Space Academy Level 1 and Space Academy Level 2. Later the academy programs were renamed Space Academy and Advanced Space Academy. So in this case Space Camp 2 was the upper level program early on before the third program was added. Names have just changed over the years.

Aviation Challenge had a similar go around with names. Originally it was just Aviation Challenge which I believe was a high school program. When a middle School program was added the middle school program was Aviation Challenge Basic and their high school program Aviation Challenge Intermediate. In '96 an elementary school program was added called Aviation Challenge Primary. Within a year all of them were changed to their current names. Mach 1 elementary school age, Mach 2 middle school age, mach 3 high school age
