Extra ASA badge?

Post by SpaceCanada »

Does anyone have an extra ASA badge they don't need and could send it to me? Or will anyone be at the USSRC in the near future and could procure one for me? I'll pay for it, plus shipping, of course!

You see, I was looking through my old photo albums and noticed the ASA badge was missing from my camp photos. I cannot find it anywhere. :( The online camp store doesn't have them for order any more and when I tried to place an order via e-mail I never got a reply. Huh.

If anyone is up to the challenge let me know. Thank you so much!

(Vincent - I apologise if I broke any rules by soliciting a request on the forum... feel free to delete this thread if I did.)

Jennifer,
I'm happy to look around and see what I can find for you.
The biggest problem may be the fact that we no longer use badges.
I'll poke around a bit and see if I come up with anything that may help complete your collection.

Thanks for looking around. I appreciate it.

The camps don't use badges anymore? That's new. What's on their flight suits now?

I was speaking of the name badges issued at check-in which have been replaced by arm bands. Campers can still purchase a leather flight suit name badge from the gift shop but they are not program specific.

Oh, okay, I see. I heard about the arm bands - can't lose those as easily.

I'm talking about the mission patch type badges with the ASA logo on it. They used to be sold alongside other programme badges and spaceflight mission patches in the store. I had one glued to the front of a photo album with my camp photos in it but now it's gone.

An ASA "patch?"

I think I have an extra one lying around. If not, I know where I can get one!

Consider it done...eventually.

Thank you, Vincent! You're the best. E-mail me your cost and I'll send you the money. :)

badge/patch/whatever - As always, I'll blame it on English nuances. ;)

That does make more sense. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

No problem; I started the confusion in the first place. I'm queen at making people confused with English nuances. Try explaining what the letter ZED is to people on the phone when I gave them my old post code. Or that I pronounce Zebra as Zeh-bra, not Zee-bra. English can be amusing at times. :)

Talking about the green clip on badges? Are they still issuing those?

Nope, I meant the cloth mission patch things with the ASA logo. Vincent is on it. No worries. :)
