2008 - Who is going and when?

Post by SpaceCanada »

You know, because I like to live vicariously through all of you who are going this summer. I wish I culd, but I have my vacation time slotted for a Girl Guide camp in Scotland this summer.

Check in and let us know when you will be there!

Because of the price of gas, I guess all I'm going to this year is the movies. :(

Who's Going?

Post by Conan »

I, too, won't be going this year. But next year I am planning to take my youngest nephew to Parent/Child camp.

I will be down for the Alumni weekend, July 18-20th.

Like last year, I am unable to attend Camp, but will be around to hang out with those of you who are down there at that time.

I really wish I could go, but it is not financially possible with moving to Arizona this summer and returning to school. Maybe next year...or in two years when I'm hopefully done with school...again.

I'll be down there for the alumni camp as a camper and will actually be down a couple of days early to see friends who are in the area as well.

Wish I could but I can't afford to this summer. But hopefully I can return soon as I graduate in December and will hopefully have a good paying job come January.

You could do like me and use your first tax return after graduating to fund a trip to SC. Those 'first working year after school' refunds are ridiculously huge too - I think mine was $2200 or something. ;-)

Not me this year either.

Domestic and International travel.

But I would love to get a ASA team together in the future... just don't know when...

It's still up in the air for my hubby and me. After taking one trip last year (our honeymoon), this year we've taken three trips so far. I've got four more in the works for me, three for hubby. We're talking about it, and if it were to happen, it would most likely be Labor Day weekend.

There are no adult camps in summer... so my guess if Mercergl and jagsvollerball14's friend will be in the same programme but may be on different teams. (That is, if there is more than one team - school is still in session at the end of June in a lot of places.)

I wish, but my economic stimulus money has to go towards more important things like moving. Even if I could go to camp this summer, the money from the check wouldn't have covered both camp and plane tickets to Huntsville.

Plane ticket to Huntsville last year - $700
Plane ticket to Huntsville this year - $1100

That right there threw out any plans to go down for camp.
