In case anyone else is wondering, it's only open to US residents.

Re: Lego Saturn V

The Saturn V is something like 25 cm taller than the castle, but if you disassemble it into stages it would fit, plus a few more stages from a second one. :D :D

Re: Lego Saturn V

Yep, just like the Disney castle set. The Saturn V is on my wish list. I already have a large Saturn V set but this one is larger and more detailed. I cannot wait!

Re: New Orion sim!

It will likely run identical software with the existing Orion sim, much like the shuttle sims do.

Re: New Orion sim!

I'll be there fom 26th to 28th May. So, the Shuttle Mission Simulation is already gone and Orion wasn't finished... So, what will I do there? That's a little sad. Enterprise is still there! (The nearly full size orbiter mock up.). There is also another Orion simulator that had been up and running s...

They mentioned years back to 1989 or so as everything before that was on paper.

Re: Looking for old teammates

It sounds like Camp will be making public a way to search for your old camp dates and possibly print off graduation certificates. I am not sure what the timeline is, but there was mention of it on the recent alumni Facebook page.

There may still be hope for you to find your friend.

Re: The Mars Generation Movie

Thanks to a very generous friend with Netflix, I was able to watch this today! I thought it was well put together and had a good message about the future of spaceflight. Well done, Netflix and Space Camp.

Re: The Mars Generation Movie

Just curious, having little experience with Netflix - if I found someone here with Nexflix could I watch this show a week or two from now? Once it is up on Netflix how long does it stay there, typically?

Re: The Mars Generation Movie

I would like to remind everyone of this show, airing on Friday on Netflix in both America and Canada. Space Camp's Facebook page mentioned a virtual premiere party, though I am not sure what all that entails. I hope the show will be available to the rest of the (non-Netflix) world soon. Enjoy! I loo...

Re: Orbiter mockup at the old Florida STS departs...

I figured as much. I seem to recall seeing and going inside both on one visit, though I only have photos from inside the KSCVC one.

Re: Orbiter mockup at the old Florida STS departs...

I have some photos taken inside the orbiter mock-up that used to be at the KSC visitor complex itself, where Atlantis currently is. Is this the same mock-up, just relocated to the camp and HOF property? Or were there two different mock-ups at KSC? The photos I have are from film, taken in the 1990s....

Re: Hidden Figures

I didn’t get to the theaters to see it, so I’ll nab it on Netflix when they eventually have it. Other than here and the CollectSpace forum, I haven’t read much about it. I don’t think a single co-worker or local friend of mine saw it as I don’t recall overhearing anyone discussing the film. I'm sur...

Re: Hidden Figures

We don't have that offer here (Canada), though it sounds excellent. Aside: does anyone actually use UltraViolet? UV digital copies don't work (easily) on any of my devices (all Apple). I am going I pick up my copy this afternoon! I found the 4K blu ray + regular blu ray + DVD + HD digital copy for $...

Re: Additional Item Purchases When Registering For Camp

You can usually purchase the clothing package at camp as well, once you know if they have everything in your size and you know you like the items in the package. (At least this was the case in 2015.) I also echo purchasing your flight suit before camp or your first day to wear on some of your missio...

Re: The Mars Generation Movie

But as for uploading a copy for you, I simply don't have the technical knowledge/ability to do something like that. In other words, I could land a shuttle, but wouldn't be able to design one! Whereas I have the skills to design one but God help the crew if I were ever relied on to land it. Haha. Th...

Re: 1996 Groups vs Now?

Wasn't Astrotrek mostly a day programme and Pathfinder an overnight one? I remember reading about each somewhere but I just read through the program guides from 1997-1999 and neither programme is mentioned. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts have museum sleepovers and aren't Space Camp alumni. There are wee...

The Mars Generation Movie

Anyone else excited to see this? It's a Netflix documentary about Space Camp and spaceflight.

Unfortunately, I don't live in America, nor do I have Netflix (and even if I did, I doubt this would be available in Canada). Anyone know how I could watch this? It comes out on 05 May.

Re: Questions about hab1

The bubble windows on the end of Hab 1 have been replaced with flat ones. Those rooms belong to camp counsellors. As for the lift, you'll probably have to call camp and ask about that. I imagine it would have been repaired by now -- over six months later. Also, have a super fun time at camp! We'd lo...
