Thats a sentiment shared Spaceside AND Lakeside (SC and AC). There are generally a lot of memories made on the Hab... some funny.. some not so funny... but funny in a really twisted sort of way

Gosh I was at a Commanders Conference for AFROTC, Maj. Gen. Anthony F. Przybyslawski told us the news. It was chilling to be in a room full of officers when that news came down. A Sad sad day indeed

its especially fun to watch them kiss the dirt when it happens to be Red Clay. Thats always amusing This one happens to be from my best friend, and should she read this, she knows I love her, but it was just too funny, even a year and a half later. so we were finishing up our SEAL OPS, and we had ta...

Hawg is definetely a great counselor, im glad your husband had a good time. I had Hawg when I was there for the Mach III 12 Day, and he was a blast. Hoot was a great guy to listen to, especially his stories, he told us a great one about a MiG-17 and an F-4 that was amazing.

we were told that it was ok to walk on space camp grass, just not any grass on the AC side that might have something to do with fiscal allowance.... But yeah, my APL decided to put some gigantic beetle in my face and I stepped on some grass and mouse made me get on my hands and knees and apologize ...

See? My point exactly. In other states, humidty ranges from 0 - 100%, in the South, like in GA and AL, and also FL, our humidity ranges from 10- 1000 %, and anyone who spends time there will no doubt agree youre not really sure whether your supposed to breathe the air or drink it

If theyre anything like AC, then theyre really not too bad, they clean them pretty intensely, so be sure to wear shoes (flip flops) in the shower with you. I dont think youll stress too much about its cleanliness, youll no doubt be WAY too tired to care too much

I dont recall the water in the lake being THAT hot. Its cool, but its by no means cool like Pool water. Trust me, if youre not from the South, youll find it VERY humid and youll sweat quite a bit, so a dip in a lake will be more than welcome

I always carried around my Camelbak with me, but I was lakeside at AC, so we were outside running around a lot more than Space Camp, and it was a necesity to always have water on us, but a small backpack is great to have to keep a camera and stuff in. Trust me, if you take pictures, youll get home a...

I also recall a brifing from SGM, who of course would not deliver it now, on camoflage(patterns of paints etc.). We did have a lot of down time...
