Have fun! I wish I could go back this summer, but it will be at least another few years (and moving further away greatly increased transportation costs).

You don't need nieces and nephews to bring with you, just grab a random child in the right age group from somewhere! (You know I'm kidding!)

I don't know about internships at Space Camp, but I would assume that since it's already near the end of May, if they had any, they would already be full. Counselor training started last week, so it's too late for employment. I would suggest that if you really want to work there, to apply for a coun...

Well I'll have no idea of knowing how the game is. I don't own either system. Between Chris and I, we only own almost every other system out there (minus the PS3). Chris does have one of the handheld systems though, but I can't remember if it's the PSP or the DS.

That's true, they can find a cheaper camp somewhere else for the kids who don't want to be at Space Camp. It does make me feel sick when I see the costs, knowing that there are people going to camp that don't want to be there. I had asked for years to go to camp, but my parents didn't have the money...

Well, Chris and I watched it tonight on Netflix. It was nice to see Space Camp...they filmed the show before I ever went to camp. It was pretty funny though, and very easy to make fun of. I can say that I've seen it, but I will probably never see it again.

I personally think there are two types of good campers... 1. Those who come to camp for a week to be an Astronaut or Fighter Pilot. 2. Those who come to camp for the social experience. I personally go to camp as a mixture of both. I have always had an interest in space and becoming an astronaut, bu...

I agree too. I didn't understand why there is a $50 registration fee. What is that fee used for...for camp to send out your paperwork when you register? It doesn't cost that much to print up some sheets of paper and put them in an envelope! Besides, most of us register online now anyways, and those ...

One of the guys from my camp session took a direct flight from Orlando to Huntsville and I believe that he said he paid $199 round trip for it. So maybe the price will drop after waiting a little longer. That was 2 years ago now, so with inflation, I can expect the price will be a bit higher, but no...

I don't know how much airfare would be for you to fly to Nashville from Orlando, but when I went to Huntsville for a visit last February, I flew from Chicago to Nashville for $130 round-trip. I had a friend in Nashville that I met at Space Camp the summer before, and we drove down to visit Huntsvill...

My roommate did that, and she had brought her own blanket too. Those blankets are way too thin for the temperature that they keep the hab.

It depends on personal preference. I've always dreamed of flying, so I would choose the flight option. I might want to try MS one day, but I think I just like flipping the switches too much! Also, I've done the scuba diving, and I would recommend having that experience. It was a lot of fun, and you ...

I always wished that I had my own flight suit. If you are able to, I would suggest buying one. You can take your team photo in your flight suit, and wear it for graduation. Also, as Bill said, it makes a great Halloween costume! I'm planning to actually borrow my boyfriend's flight suit (we actually...

The hab is the best way to go. You are rooming with teammates, so more bonding will happen over late-night chats (if you aren't too tired!). Also, going as an adult, you may stay out late anyways, and won't be spending much time in the hab. I do suggest bringing a blanket (along with sweatpants or p...

I'm a little different because I attended Space Camp when I was 16 and 17, and then returned for a weekend program as an adult. When I went back though, it was a special 25th anniversary alumni event weekend, and the adult camp went from Thursday until Sunday. This weekend was also different from th...

It looks that usually they only offer the 6 day near the end of August or the beginning of September. This is inconvenient for many of us who have ever wished to do the 6 day program, but I guess it's probably the only time of the year they have enough space. All summer the youth camps fill up the h...
