As many will attest, the habitat modules are kept very well air conditioned.

A sweatshirt could help at night.

At the same time, counselors are usually pretty good about scrounging up an extra blanket, if you're looking to pack light.

From that link: "When all the children arrive at camp the first day, they have the opportunity to trade pins with other children." This has never happened at Space Camp. Ever. Of course, the way the article is worded, it could be argued that they're just talking about camps in general, eve...

Nothing specific. He'll be on "EALD" (Early Arrival Late Departure). Counselors are assigned to groups of children on EALD. These kids will get extra museum time, simulator time, etc. Basically whatever they want to do that the counselor is able to supervise them doing. When I was a kid, I...

You'll have all the time in the world after graduation, obviously (until you have to catch a flight, anyway). You have run of the museum all day after graduation. If you check in as early as they let you, this should give you a few hours before you meet your team. Again, you should have run of the m...

As I understand it, no children leave the Earth.

Except for in their imaginations while at Space Camp, of course!

A counselor isn't going to scold you for having a cell phone out, especially if it is your main picture-taking device.

I hope they'll introduce "anchor" pricing. Put the 12 day in the brochure with a price of X.

When camp is less than X, it'll look like a bargain.

It's a good plan, I just can't do it!

The "it's too soon" joke was just a joke...mostly.

But your July 21 tour is on the same day that International Space Camp starts!

I will be covering that event, as per usual.

Go ahead, surprise them! As long as they pack enough for the trip, and you've got what Space Camp suggests (they should provide a checklist, if memory serves), it'll be great! Granted, there could be a few things they will have wished they had packed had they known, but it shouldn't be anything too ...

I've thought about it in the past, but never really thought there would be enough interest to make a separate section for it.

If it turns out that I'm wrong, I'll create a new section.

If it's Space Camp merch, stick it in The Hab for now.

Programs for children wind down after the August/September timeframe. In the past, Space Camp has run a "Christmas Camp," running from just after Christmas through New Year's, but that's been some years. After the 2012 dates end, the next ones won't be until Spring 2013. Those will probabl...
