I'll consider the Alumni camp this year - it'll kill me if I can't go - but I'm already going to Japan/Korea this year (in November), just came back from Mexico, Seattle in May and maybe Chicago for July 4th. I dunno if I can AFFORD another trip. :) I'll put it on my radar and see how things are fin...

Good article! When I attended Adult Space Academy in September 2003, a girl on our team was totally blind. I had the honor of having her as my other mission specialist on the Hubble Servicing Mission. Not only did she strap into the 5DF chair, but she also performed the entire mission requirements w...

Busy with trips and such. I just got back from spending 12 days or so in Japan, so I'm re-acquainting myself with Eastern Time again. =)

I remember the trailers from at last '91 and possibly '92. I did ASA both those years and remember having lectures at least in '91. We Space Campers were introduced to SpaceMail in those trailers on Apple ][e's I think in 1989. They might have been Macs, though. I forget. In 1991, Space Academy, Le...

SpaceLink

I finally got round to re-doing the page where all my Space Camp scanned items are online. It's not much, but at least it's all available on one page. All of the Space Camp Newsletters, Application Books (except 2004+) and Museum Guides (except 2004) are in my collection. Some of the other items wer...

I say they just build Jinx and set him loose in the museum. Then we can all get a chuckle when we hear "what the hell is that!" come across the museum floor :)

Re: Counseling Adults

For some of you who have been on either end of this equation, what do you think works when dealing with adults at space camp? For my first adult session, the counselor I had didn't really have a clue how to handle an adult group. To her credit, though, it was her first adult group. Hopefully by now...
