Rumor is semi correct. China is a go with an option to buy 4 licenses at 1.75 mil a piece. Apparently there are discussions for Singapore or Malaysia. Both are mentioned in the handouts that were passed out during the Executive Committee of the Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission yesterday. I s...

I agree

I couldn't agree more. The state of Alabama should have issued a warrant for his arrest years ago. If not on anything but writing worthless personal checks to the space center aka the State of Alabama.

PS... The subject line...

The phrase "Stupid Space Camp" was used over 4 times during the "Grounded for Life" show that I watched. The writers must have thought it was a catchy phrase.

I haven't seen the pictures in question, but if the Apollo wall that I think you are talking about is the same one in the pictures it has been there at least 5 years. However that model is in a new Shuttle exhibit that is upper mezzaine (sp) near the Land the Shuttle sim. The exhibit was opened last...

"Stupid Space Camp"

Tonight I was working on my college homework and my wife was flipping through the channels and she landed on the WB. The show "Grounded for Life" was on and it was the season finale. Now this actually does have something to do with Space Camp I promise. From what I understand the redheaded...

Greetings all. I have no idea what is going on in Montgomery, but I am so glad to see that the Governor is taking measures to take care of such an important state agency. In the past people who have more than likely never even made a paid visit the U.S. Space & Rocket Center have been board memb...

I'm sure it has something to do with the fact the museum will be showing the new NASCAR IMAX film in the next few months. I know they purchased alot of advertising in the last race in Talladega (sp?)

I served on the Moonbuggy Committee for two years and you have no idea how much planning goes into it. If you goto a high school or college, you should consider starting a team. It is alot of fun, you meet tons of new people and the prizes are awesome. Not to forget that you get to spend a few days ...

FINALLY I can tell you about when I met Bruce Springsteen

Ok... At the Sprocket it is pretty well understood that when a celeb is at the museum or at camp the staff doesn't say anything to anyone! Well two weeks before my departure from the center I had the honor to meet Bruce Springsteen. His child was at camp and he came for graduation and I had a 2 seco...

Just to clarify...

The only two NASA owned centers that I am aware of are Kennedy and JPL. All the others are owned by foundations (Houston), State Government (Marshall/U.S. Space & Rocket Center) or City Government (Langley)
