Re: Save Space Camp Campaign
OK, let's be conservative and eliminate the roughly 8,300 donors as of 2:30pm Eastern on 8/7 (assuming that they are all alumni which is not the case). 950K alumni (I've seen this number stated as close to a million) / 2 (assuming some double counting. It could be off by a lot either way. For examp...

Re: Save Space Camp Campaign
SAIC donated $250K to meet the $1.5 million goal. However, I feel that they need to keep pushing for the length of the campaign as unexpected expenses always happen. Sure, there are a lot of large space corporates out there who could still donate yet there are a lot of alumni out there, too. How muc...

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got til it's gone
That's the way I feel about USSRC letting the motion base sims fall into disrepair.

No surprise there... USSRC's focus is kids and the future other than when they want/need money. Adult campers are the redheaded stepchildren.

Launch America & Quaranteam shirts
Nogginhed in Madison County, AL along with NASA are offering Launch America & Quaranteam shirts. The Quaranteam shirts come in MSFC, MAF, and KSC versions. (I asked them to add KSC and they listened. :) ) The Launch America shirts were previously offered and quickly sold out. https://nasa.noggin...

Re: Rocket Center lays off more than a third of staff
I've heard they got rid of a lot of higher tenured people. Frankly, this is very common in Corporate America right now, forcing out the people with the higher salaries... LOL Unfortunately (?), that is something that I am well acquainted with. They'll pay only until they've gotten what they wanted ...

Re: 2020: who's going to Space Camp?
Just checked today... No adult camps listed for 2020 or 2021. They have a webpage for a week long Adult Advanced Space Academy in 2021 yet there's nothing enticing listed other than an extended duration mission. Starts on Sunday pm, ends Friday am, so really only 4 days.

Re: eBay: SC California Right Stuff Award
I'm unsure if it's always "earned" but you do need to be in visible positions to win one. Popularity contest, biggest sob story, best made for TV movie, participation award, etc. We all have different perceptions. Easier to give out Wrong Stuff awards... I was curious if any USSRC Hall of ...

Re: Movie patch, real or replica?
I think it could actually be a patch either made for the production people (who often get souvenir stuff like this from productions), or the more unlikely event of someone making a run of these immediately after the film itself. I can't see that being likely at all, though. Yet why make a different...
