Re: Astronaut Wings: new order!

Everyone should have received either an email or private message from me regarding their patches. I sent you photos, along with pricing and questions about Velcro and shipping addresses. Please respond promptly. Those who respond first get their patches shipped first. :D

Re: Astronaut Wings: new order!

Good to know about the other company that makes them. The order I placed just went into production today, so they should be ready soon. I've heard the same story from Hoot. I asked him a question about the name tags back in 2007 and why some astronauts were different than others -- and what the civi...

Re: Astronaut Wings: new order!

Last call!! We need our more patches to make the order. I'm hoping to place the order on Tuesday. I messaged a bunch of people who asked about them over the past two years. Check your inboxes.

Astronaut Wings: new order!

Several people here have asked me to make astronaut wings over the years. Unfortunately, I couldn't make them at the time or now don't have any more blanks. However, the company I used to make the originals has sent me a quote to make another batch. How many people are interested, and how many would...

Re: Smell

My smell memory from camp is less pleasant: rotting chocolate milk in one of the overhead air ducts in our Hab room. The first night the counsellors didn't believe us and kept telling us to go to bed, which we eventually did. The second night it was wafting into the halls and stank up a good portion...

Agreed, I think this is the best report of the Space Camp in Belgium I've seen. Thank you for sharing.

Re: New Adult Space Academy Video Uploaded

Oh, that's interesting with the subtitles, would be nice to see Click the little rectangle with lines in it (subtitles) to turn on subtitles. Then, click the gear (settings) and choose auto-translate. Choose your preferred language from the extensive list. It isn't perfect, but it works well enough...

Great video. I enjoyed watching it. YouTube has English subtitles, so the anglophones can understand what you're saying.

Re: Anomalies on Adult camp missions, realistic or silly?

Robotics is incredibly fun, just saying... Eight hours in one week wasn't enough! Remember, missions require extra counsellors and sims (versus a movie or rocketry), so the additional expenses go up quickly. Plus, I think private groups are more expensive overall. Have fun looking into it. You may w...

Re: Anomalies on Adult camp missions, realistic or silly?

Form my experience as part of a corporate team, let me add that it is more complicated to organize than it seems. One person has to be the team lead, and is the only person allowed to speak with camp about arrangements, scheduling, activities, etc. before camp and generally the only person allowed t...

Re: Team Patches Frame

There is a pretty big collection of team patches from educator and SCIVIS groups in the education building. I was in the Space Camp offices there recently and saw a wall full of them... So it does exist in some way, though not publicly. This could have been a collection put together by a few counsel...

Re: 2017

Surprise! Through a series of truly fantastic events, I was able to join my usual team at Space Camp this week. My attendance was a surprise to all but two people on the team. Despite a few hiccups here and there, it was a WONDERFUL week! The robotics department really outdid themselves, the docent ...

Re: Callsigns??

As others have said, call sign assignments at Space Camp aren't common, and usually just nicknames more than call signs. I must have stood out from the crowd enough to be granted a nickname that stuck through two camps, ten months apart. The sims counsellor that gave me the nickname was my team coun...
