I am probably not the best person to ask about this, since I have enjoyed all but one IMAX film I have ever seen. (That one film being "T-REX".) I bought "Destiny in Space" because it features Roberta Bondar, the first female Canadian in Space. I like it better than "The Dre...

Thank you for the comment 'Who', I was about to say something similar myself. I know there are several counsellors who loved their time at Space Camp, and there are some who didn't like it as much. Vincent has been the moderator of this forum since the beginning, so from reading past posts, I'm sure...

I have several IMAX films (Dream is Alive, Hail Columbia, and Destiny in Space) on DVD as well, so I guess that makes me a dork too! Gene Kranz was in Mission Control for some of the first shuttle flights. I am not that sure which missions he did though. I am pretty certain the movie is accurate, bu...

Here is some information you were looking for:

Vincent was fortunate enough to see fireworks while at camp, but most other campers recall there being no fireworks on 4th July. Or, as LB206 reports, they were merely in the background.

"Who" must be a real keener, because your problem has already been corrected. USSRC.com now directs you to the new USSRC website. :D Speaking of alternate URL's, I have another one that links to an old version of the Space Camp website: http://www2.spacecamp.com Although, for all the AC pe...

Great work Jason!

I am sure you will be a great asset to the museum staff. You can bring your Space Camp experiences along and weave them in with the museum programmes.

I hope all goes well with your new job! Keep us posted.

Should be: Bed sheets, blankets, pillows, and pillowcases will be provided. Trainees should brin...

One reason why so many people opt in for the EALD option is to cut the costs of airfare. To arrive on registration day and leave on graduation day it would cost me 300$ more in airfare than arriving a day early! Besides, arriving early gives you a chance to relax before the action begins. If you wan...

From my knowledge of the (Canadian) English language, "week long" becomes "week-long" (hyphenated) when used in the context on the website. I guess it's a term that could be written many ways.

In addition, you can direct all your trainees to your great website. I can see the population of this forum multiplying...

Well said! Although I was fortunate to have a few exceptional teachers. In Year 10/Form 4/Grade 10 we had a class called DrEnglish "de-ring-lish"- a combination of Drama and English. While reading thse bizarre stories we acted them out. It made a thousand times more sense than reading the ...

I must stand up for the opposing side to this statement: not ALL papers are bad! Most, yes, but not all... In Year 11/Form 5/Grade 11/whatever I had to write a paper about ASA as justification for my absence from classes for a week. In response to the paper I was granted two credits towards my provi...

I received the "To Touch The Stars" CD in the post last week. (I won it in a contest!) It is really great for space freaks/geeks like myself. Not only are there songs about vonBraun, but Goddard is in there as well as the two fateful orbiters. Great CD. Next time you're in the music shoppe...

Great Work 'Who' et al.! Like anything on it's first debut, there will be a few things that need "tweaking" but overall I'm very impressed. What a face-lift! Other comments: The circles for the different space camps link to a picture page. However, some of the things that link to the pictu...

It's official, the new spacecamp.com website has been released! It looks pretty fine so far! There are a few quirks here and there, but overall a HUGE improvement. One comment: The no longer offer the program selector (dates & rates) by age, only by program name. Thus, now the 8-day adult ASA do...

Good Day all: I am thinking of attending the Adult Advanced Academy in September/October 2004. I do not know if I CAN go yet, but I'm trying to get more information on it. I know Kemara from this site has attended this programme several times, and Richasi has been to the 3-day Adult Academy programm...

I am an odd-ball person who would rather be a RIO than a pilot. Maybe because I could never be a pilot with my crazy eyes. I applied to the military as a "Flight Navigations Officer", as we call them up here, but I was declined. So sad... At least if I go to Adult AC one day I know I won't...
