Wow! You guys are really stirring up some old memories tonight! Allow me to clear some things up for you. First of all, the structure known as the "bubble" originally came from the 1982 Worlds Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee. It was only a temporary structure!! For two short years, the "...

wow, that brought back memories of camp when i was there during the 20th anniversary of the moon landings (July 1989). We dressed up in Apollo EVA suits and did a fake moonwalk around the LEM in the rocket park. They had a Surveyor I and other instruments on the grounds during that time so it was ex...

I still have my Shuttle Ops Manual, however its not in too good of condition due to years of hard use! My copy says "Revised Edition", however, it is pre-1988 return to flight. I think the most recent edition was updated with post-Challenger flight proceedures.

on a related note, i am having my patch from my 1992 Thiokol team made (since Campers didn't get their patches made for them back in those days). If anyone would like one of these, let me know. I will be placing the order soon and will have a few left over. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/hem...

go with a darker, navy blue background (the red text is hard to read on royal blue). Also, make the shuttle larger. shrink the jet too so that it is about the same size as the shuttle stack for a more balanced look.

the Orbiter space flight sim is pretty realistic (and hard too - ya almost gotta be a NASA astronaut to fly it), and you can add on other vehicles to the sim like the space station, Mercury/Atlas, and Apollo Saturn 5!
