Wow, that would be great! However, in a graduating class of 300 pupils where the biggest focus was on sporting activities, our yearbook would have ended up being 400 pages long! (They were usually 150 pages or so in length.) Great idea though! I wasn't a big fan of secondary school because I had to ...

I did the same thing for both of my ASA weeks. The first time I went I had to keep a journal to receive credits in school. The second time I went I kept a journal because I wanted to. I would love to read your journal from AC. I don't know if you want to post it or not, but it might be a good way fo...

I never thought that Space Camp food was all that bad. Then again, I would have eaten just about anything while I was there and never known the difference! Anyway, in my July camp we took our lunches outside every once in a while to the picnic tables to enjoy the nice weather. Nobody cared too much ...

While we do not get those infamout senior pictures, we get the mug shot as I mentioned earlier. We also get a short blurb of words below our picture with things like our best friends, favourite moments, pet peeves, etc. Of course, for mine my favourite moment was ASA, so I wrote that, and they got m...

That would be great! I have always wanted to learn more about the AC programme because I never got to go. :( Photos usually tell good stories, but if you have any great stories, feel free to share - I'm sure everyone will like to read them. What is a typical day at AC like anyway? If you want to e-m...

I bring my camera everywhere with me. (Just ask any of my friends!) However, at camp I never really had time to take many photos, yet alone any with my *good* camera, just point-and-shoot ones. :( I posted some more of the better ones for you Benji. Most of the others are just people most (if not al...

I somehow had the same problem the first time I went to Space Camp! (or any camp for that matter...) I am usually one to have my camera EVERYWHERE with me, but for some reason it never really left the confinds of my flight suit pocket. However, next time I go to USSRC I will be sure to take heaps of...

AC Photos

I have never been enrolled in the Aviation Challenge programme, although I wanted to, and still want to. Courtesy of all you who have posted about AC, I have been able to learn a lot about the programme. However, I have never really seen any photographs of AC! (Besides the ones from Smurfs who were ...

Just in case anyone wants more photos, I have posted some on the Hab1 member photo album website.

(I tried to post ones that might have meaning to the average camper. I have a few hundred more, but they are mostly duplicates of photos everyone has already seen time and time again...)

However, there are many movies one can watch inifinitely over again and never get tired of them or feel ill: APOLLO 13 is a good example. I never knew VHS tapes could acually wear out to the point where the tracking feature cannot fix the picture. Needless to say, I now own the DVD with all the bonu...

"Senior" Photos

We never had these so-called senior photos you mention. All we get for Year 12 is a mug shot wearing our school cap and gown attire. We get about a dozen of those taken and we choose which ones we want published in the year book. I think it is rather impersonal, and your senior photo idea is much be...

I know when i was at AC we didnt like smurfs as we called the space campers coming over and using our lake though. Oh yes, the Smurf/Leprechaun jokes... If you take a look at the flight suits, you'll know which was which. The rivalry led to some funny jokes in 1998, although nobody knew who smurfs ...

I now fully understand how the 3D movies can be brought to TV (I never realised you can still get colour images with red-blue 3D anaglyphs), although I will sadly never be able to watch them. :( I have some weird condition with my eyes that makes watching red-blue 3D things nearly impossible. I only...

I know... I'm getting old... old... ahhhh!!! Okay, so I'll only be 21 in a few weeks, but it's still too old for the regular Space Camp programmes. I considered myself old when I graduated from secondary school in 2000 and no longer met the requirements to go back to camp without going in the ...

3d IMAX

I am aware of how 3D movies are made, and shown. However, it will be interesting whether or not the 3D movie will need the blue/red lenses or the polarised ones, or neither... hmmm... could be intersting! I think I'll stick to buying myself the 2D version.

Windbreakers

Oh yes, the windbreakers! I still have my USSRC windbreaker, and it is beyond me why they say USSRC instead of the programme name. Another bizarre thing is why they changed all the uniform bottoms to have the tri-logo on them instead of the programme name. Although putting the programme name in bloc...

Might I ask how they will get the 3D version onto DVD? Wouldn't then you need dual projection or some sort of advanced technology television? I was not able to see this film in 3D due to the theatre only having single projection, and seeing as my TV only has single projection, the 3D option doesn't ...

I work with NASA Quest. ( http://quest.arc.nasa.gov ) We answer questions from the public on behalf of NASA. Somtimes if we get a strange odd-ball question we can forward it to a list of our experts, people who actually work in specific divisions at NASA. It is pretty neat how the process works, but...

Any time of year in Huntsville is suitable for wearing shorts ;) Although people tend to look at you funny when everyone else is wearing sweaters and long pants and you're wearing shorts and a t-shirt... never-the-less, it was snowing at home before I left for camp, so I did have something to wear s...

Those poor eggs, I remember the PS's doing the egg thing too. We watched as they dropped them off the top floor of HABI onto the plastic-covered floor at the bottom. They killed breakfast, how dare they! We had a lot of classroom sessions together as a group. One of which we did in 1998 was some Kir...
