Read: the last couple of alumni camps have had disappointing turnout and we didn't plan far enough ahead to do anything about it this year.
I'm disappointed, to be sure, but what else were they going to do?

Auctions!
There are several space memorabilia auctions happening right now. If you have the cash, you can own such items as check written by Neil Armstrong and Gordon Cooper's slide rule.

I found out about Hab1 because counselor Brent told me that an embarrassing story about him was posted here. It took me a while to find it because I didn't have the correct URL, but I'm glad I kept trying. I have four ideas for promoting this site: 1. A note in the graduation materials telling campe...

Space Camp in the News
I'm currently on my usual post-Camp withdrawal, during which I seek out and soak up as much Camp-related material as possible. Here are some of the recent stories I've found: As a family vacation, NASA's Space Camp is out there [LA Times] Space Camp, what better way to celebrate a birthday [Hudson S...

Promoting Hab1
Thousands of people have become fans of Space Camp on Facebook, yet the Hab1 Forum has less than 500 registered members. I think there's clearly demand for Hab1.com, but people have trouble finding it; you wouldn't know it's here unless someone tells you about it, even if you're looking for it (it's...

I just thought I'd sketch out the hapenings (hopefully it wasn't too litaneous) and let others fill in the colorful details.
BTW, I enjoyed your post about the changes at the USSRC from a visitor's point of view.

I'm bumping this old thread because I'd totally forgotten about the webcam. It's now in the parking lot of the Davidson Center, looking towards the entrance. You can see Space Shot! http://207.111.165.30/view/index.shtml

When I visited in February 2008 the kids shop was still there. One guy on my team back in June 2007 bought a onesie (however you spell it!) for his soon-to-be daughter. Even if it wasn't, there would definitely be clothing for kids in the main gift shop. The baby shop is, sadly, no longer there and...
