except it was done during the day, involved radios, and I'm not sure where the team that wasn't blowing up the fuel pump went - I suppose it's possible that it's similar to the current Mach III Seal Ops - especially since I'm pretty sure whatever year it was that we did that, we didn't have Seal Ops...

I have a memory of doing an event that I THINK predates the SAR, in which we split our team into two squads, Alpha and Bravo, and went running through the glassy plains to rendezvous after taking care of separate missions, blowing up a fuel pump and using walkie talkies... I have no idea what this m...

I understand that its not broken persay, but it refers to things that no longer exist - which is kinda what a broken link is... but yes - i figured it was probably taken down intentionally, when the site was taken down.

I loved my experiences so much (all 8 times) that I decided to go back as a counselor...

There's a reason my counselor call-sign is Repeat - it's because they can't get me to stay away!

the problem with those sites that show previous versions is that most of the picture links seem to be broken - I almost managed to get a picture of Sandrat, not once, but TWICE! before the server decided it either didn't have that page archived, or the picture file on that page was missing...

I haven't been to christmas camp ever, but I did arrive in Huntsville for spring training in mid-January - and I thought the weather was gorgeous. And it was still pretty nice when I came back in March...

The weather isn't bad until the summer, apparently.

Gordo's wife is now the AM for AC, and my boss... So yes, there's a good chance I'll be talking with her when I head back in two weeks.

I'll see if I can figure out who you were.

I have a picture of me at graduation shaking Spanky's hand... I'm sure I probably met Sandrat, but I can't call up a face or name.

I bet my friend Overdrive would know who you were (she was my EALD counselor when I was there in 2000, and we're still friends).

since becoming a counselor, I've realized that one of the reasons we don't do cool things is because the people that HR hires are often too special to accomplish it or not interested enough to treat it seriously.

ok, then it was 2003 I remembered.

I went to Mach III in 2000 and 2001, took a break in 2002, and came back for 2003 and found a lot had changed.

Now I'm back as a counselor, and Ardan is still in place (though not for too much longer - I'm told next year will probably be a new one).

Sandrat - I've been trying to figure out who you are and if I knew you/met you while I was at camp... I've been attending Sprocket in one form or another since 1998 (check the sig line for more information), and I'm not sure who you are...

space nerd - you did Kosan in 02? I don't remember whether I did Kosan or not, but I thought they'd switched over to Ardan by then - maybe I'm wrong (or they had for my week, or I'm remembering the wrong year).

oh, I know - Beaker started off for a while as a lifeguard, from what I understand, and now works everything from astrotrek to hybrids... though she recieved partial AC training last summer, I'm not sure she ever spent much time down at the lake with us during training...
