T- tomorrow and counting for STS-122

I'm still keeping my fingers (toes, eyes) crossed for a 2:45 ET liftoff. How about you?

I keep remembering that when I first heard about Global Warming the pundits were screaming that "Unless we do something NOW, the coastal cities of the world will be underwater by 2005!". Well?

A word of advice....

I had a telescope that I wanted to sell and nobody wanted to buy. I donated it to a local high school and got a tax deduction for a lot more than I could have sold it for.

OK, here's my $.02 (and we all know how much $.02 buys these days). In all likelyhood our next President is going to be a Democrat. Now after the spend -happy congress that we've had for the last few years, do you really think this President is going to approve a brand-new, untested and untried spac...

Unfortunately, my health problems would keep me grounded anyway. I know that Space Camp is as close as I'll ever get.

That's why I'm so thankful that it's here! :D

I just read something interesting. It seems NASA doesn't want a shuttle in orbit during a change in the year (2007 to 2008) due to potential Y2K type software glitches. That's why the launch was rescheduled to no earlier than Jan 10th.

It's on the web, so it must be true, right?

I guess since I discovered this tread I'm required to chime in.

I'm chronologically 51, mentally 12 (so my wife says), and physically 70+.

Absolutely! Rename the faux Endeavour. We know which one is the original.

BTW: 2008 not 1998.

Our Adult Alumni Reunion in June was the first time I had to eat the "normal" cafeteria food. In the past, when I went to Adult Academy we had a different menu than the regular campers. After eating in the cafeteria for a couple of days we had a catered dinner when Hoot Gibson came to Hunt...

My memory of my first Space Camp was in the old Endeavour Sim. The hatch to the flight deck had a hydraulic piston that opened and closed it. During our mission we lost contact with mission control. We just assumed it was an LOS that the SIM SUP had thrown in and kept going. A couple of minutes late...

Re: Georgia Tech

Hi Bill this is Diane from June. (Conan) Do you know Earl Babbitt who works at Georgia Tech? He attended adult levelII Space Academy with me in 1996 and several reunions since. We still keep in touch by email and he is very active in the National Space Society. You should get him to sign up for thi...

Counselor Recruiting

First of all, a big shout out to all of you June Adult Alumni campers! It's Bill! (Had the hardbound Shuttle Operators Manual, heckled Hoot Gibson) anyway, I have volunteered to help recruit counselors for Huntsville at Georgia Tech. They're supposed to be here in Atlanta sometime in early November....
