So with the Star Wars Where Science Meets Imagination tour coming to Huntsville next summer, Space Camp has developed a Jedi Experience to go along with it. It is offered as a Parent/Child weekend program or as a 3 day camp for ages 7 to 12. I've talked to some of the guys involved with all the Star...

Hall of Fame 2010

So the date has been picked for next year's Hall of Fame. It will take place on August 20, a Friday night. It is now separate from the Saturn V reunion. There will again be an alumni camp but it will be 4 days - Thursday to Sunday of the same weekend. Price is the same as this year ($399) and there ...

The main training session is in January when they hire the bulk of the counselors. Any other training sessions throughout the year are based on current needs. Returning counselors are usually at the top of the list when they are hiring for the summer and during the summer they may only hire for AC. ...

Space Camp on TLC

Next Monday on TLC's Little People Big World one of the kids goes to Space Camp! It's on at 8pm (Eastern I think) and the episode is called Space Jake.

All adult weeklong programs scuba dive. I've been PS, MS and Pilot but my fav is to do the EVA. It really is personal preference as to what position you want. It really comes down to if you want to perform an EVA or be in control of the space shuttle.

A silent auction is a good idea (but I doubt any of us die-hards would give up any of our space camp stuff). As for astronaut guests it would be cool to have someone from the early days of mercury/gemini/apollo/skylab as well as a shuttle era astronaut and someone who has spent an extended time on t...

An all girls week would probably work for the Space Camp aged kids but I'm not to sure about the older ones. I once had a team of 11 girls and only 6 boys and there were some issues between the girls. My teams that had more boys than girls had no probems like that. I personally would not want an all...

Apollo Gala

I'm excited that the Apollo Gala will be shown online (see hab1 homepage) and am going to hopefully watch it. It would be awesome to be there for it. I just wish I could get my hands on one of the books.

Is anyone planning on going or will you be watching now that it will be online?
