It's actually a legal thing. It has to be kept separate. I've worked places in the past where the same thing was done. It doesn't make any sense to me either. I guess the best way to explain it is that "Space Camp" isn't charging you the $50. The lockbox service is. Separate company, separ...

Sadly, a lot of parents are just looking for a place to dump their kids. The ones that don't end up at Space Camp end up at Camp Whethafarkawee, or some such.

How about setting up web cam links to museums and planetariums around the country so that space campers that can't attend can have two-way conversations with those in attendance at the USSRC?

Some type of specialized seating arrangements. Right-Stuff table, Multiple attendee tables, etc. It is an occasion to honor those in attendance after all.

I know what you mean. I kept looking at the previous launch dates getting earlier and earlier in the AM. Hopefully the new date will launch in the mid AM to early PM range.
