Yeah, for some of the youngsters, apparently Star Wars (at least the original trilogy) didn't have quite the life changing effect that it did for us olderish people. Luke: "He told me enough! He told me you killed him!" Darth Vader: "No, I am your father." Boy, the youngsters su...

Definitely a sign of the times, but I remember an IMAX film that was brought in that was about the fires in the oil fields in Kuwait after the first Gulf War. Geez...that certainly dates me.

Great photos! It looks like you had a nice SLR-type camera to take the photos with too. May I ask what settings you used so I can use similar ones for my trip to STS-118? I'll have to check with my brother. I borrowed his camera. All I know is that it's a Cannon film camera with, what I like to cal...

What a shame they had to quit giving tours. That would be great if they started back up.

Woohoo! My husband was in Daytona on business, so I met up with him there and then we drove down to see the launch. Our first launch "in person!" It was amazing!!! We didn't have tickets for the Causeway, so we saw it from Titusville. It took about 30 seconds from the time we saw the shutt...

They don't ask for proof, but I definitely wouldn't advertise my age either. You may be just as old as some of the counselors. My first summer there, I was a counselor at the ripe old age of 19.

Just a little older. Not by much. LOL Sometimes I wish I were younger, but then I'd have to trade my life today for it and it's just too much fun right now.

My husband and I got married on April 28. For as long as I've known him, he's loved playing with flight simulators on his computer. So, when it came to a wedding gift for him, it was a no-brainer. I signed him up for Adult AC in August. Now, one of his friends/groomsmen just signed up also. They are...

I used to love ISC, but it was in the days before they had dances. One year, they brought in the 50 Teachers of the Year from each state. It was always an exciting week. The first summer (1991) I was working Discovery Sims so I got to interact with even more international kids, but the two summers a...

I used to have a shirt with almost every sponser on the back. I know I still have a Level II t-shirt in my closet I wear on a regular basis. Yes, the shirt is at least 15 years old and it still survives! LOL I wonder what I did with the other shirts. I may have them packed away somewhere.

I was very lucky not to have to endure that. Do the counselors still patrol the floors/bays until 11 PM?

No, I can't remember his name, but he was a fellow counselor.

Bart did give great lectures. Great stories. He just didn't do them very often. I was sad to see him leave.

When I went to adult camp in 1990, I was in room 409. Kinda hard to forget that. When I went back the next summer, for the two weeks of counselor training, I was once again in room 409. Go figure. Then, because we had so many campers that year, the counselors were moved off site to the Executive Lod...

Funny how some things trigger your memory. Girls on the 4th floor. Boys on the 2nd. 3rd floor split. How could I forget that?!
